I’ve always written – journals, diaries, some really bad poetry! And I’ve always talked a lot about writing a novel. When I moved house\u00a0for about the ninth time in as many years and lost my precious notebooks, I decided the time was right to write! So I began a long short story based on two characters who nagged and nagged until they were written down. I completely rewrote that story and the result\u00a0was my first novel Pride and Perdita.<\/em><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve moved on to write warm-hearted and up-lifting contemporary and timeslip romances about love, the power and joy in being an eccentric oldie and finding yourself and your community. \u00a0There\u2019s always a dog. It\u2019s usually a naughty spaniel of which, unfortunately, I\u2019ve had much experience!<\/p>\n

I live near the sea with my beloved dogs, my husband (also beloved) and a ghost called Zoe. I love the books of Jane Austen, collecting elephants, Belgian chocolate and Strictly Come Dancing. I\u2019m also a complete museum geek and find inspiration in the folklore and history of the many places in which I\u2019ve lived.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve worked in the theatre, for a charity and as a teacher and educational consultant before finally acknowledging that making things up was what I really longed to do. I\u2019ve been happily creating believable heroines, intriguing men and page-turning stories ever since.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
