I\u2019m suffering from shed envy. Really bad shed envy.<\/p>\n
Let me explain.<\/p>\n
On one of my regular dog walks, I pass along a lane which has some rather nice barn conversions. One sunny autumn morning Bertie and I were wandering along when we heard the strains of Radio 2 drifting across the crisp air \u2013 along with some hammering. Bertie stopped to have a sniff, enabling me to have a little snoop. A shed had sprung up in the garden of one of the houses. And what a shed! Floor to ceiling windows at the front and a pretty roof. Its owner was just adding the final touches.<\/p>\n
Working full time and tackling a new puppy as well as a boisterous 18-month-old spaniel leaves precious little free time. I\u2019m not getting the ironing done let alone any writing! The idea of hiding away for a few hours in a luxury shed at the bottom of the garden, with the papers, the radio and a notepad or two is tempting \u2013 and impossible!<\/p>\n
So perhaps I\u2019m not suffering from shed envy at all … just jealous of anyone who has the time to spend in one!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
