It\u2019s been quite a year! Here are some of the highlights.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Moving house<\/p>\n

We actually managed to sell the house in Herefordshire, despite a few last minute hiccoughs and moved into a cottage while waiting for the next house to be ready. A lack of broadband held up the second part of the move but we\u2019re now established in the new house and yes, I managed to achieve my dream of living in the place where I\u2019ve wanted to be since aged five.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Harper Collins Summer Party<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Sadly, this was under reported by a lack of broadband. See above! How gutted was I that I couldn\u2019t swank about it! It was an extraordinary night. I felt very privileged to share in Harper Collins\u2019 celebrations of being two hundred years old.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It was a magically sultry evening in the gardens at the Victoria and Albert Museum and I had a fantastic time spotting celebs and sipping cocktails. It was even nicer to catch up with some Harper Impulse writers I hadn\u2019t seen for a while.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Millie novels<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Three brand new novellas came out! They seem to have gone down well and the first two achieved bestseller status, gaining that lovely little orange Amazon sticker. I\u2019m now really looking forward to having the paperback out which is all three novellas combined. It\u2019s been nearly two years since I held an actual book of mine in my hot little hand. Something to look forward to in 2018. Even more exciting will be seeing it for sale in Sainsbury\u2019s. I can\u2019t thank my lovely, lovely readers enough \u2013 it\u2019s you who have made the Millie books such a success.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

A contract for three more<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And what a way to end a fantastic year \u2013 a new contract for three new novellas. These will follow on from the Millie Vanilla books but will feature new characters. Don\u2019t worry, though, all the old favourites will pop up. Everyone knows everyone in Berecombe, don\u2019t forget. And I just can\u2019t seem to shake off that naughty pensioner Biddy!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Bert being well<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

As some of you know, Bertie ended 2016 being diagnosed with a serious heart condition. The vet wasn\u2019t overly optimistic of his prognosis but, with lots of expensive drugs and tender care, Bert has made it through another year. We had a scare in August when we thought we\u2019d have to make The Decision but his medication was increased and he\u2019s back to enjoying walks on the beach and lots of cuddles. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Today, he stole a sandwich when we were looking the other way. Not all that ill, then! This has been the real triumph of 2017 for me \u2013 a happy healthy-ish spaniel.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I can’t end this brief review of 2017 without thanking you, dear readers, for your support. Without readers, there is very little point in writing!\u00a0I hope you have a wonderful holiday and a New Year full of gorgeous things to read.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
