Hello my lovelies,
Hope you’re all enjoying this fantastic summer and taking some time out to read on the beach or in a shady garden. Have to say my preference is the latter as I don’t do well in the heat! I love lounging under a tree with my toes out in the sun and a cool gin and tonic by my side. I’ve recently discovered Salcombe Gin and it’s very moreish. Last night Dog Number Two discovered it as well. I was not happy but she gamboled about the garden with a silly grin all evening so I suspect she’s hooked.
I’m really sorry to have neglected you – again. I’m in the writing cave busy getting Amy’s Story ready. I’ve also recently had Eye Op Number Two which has slowed things right down. The utterly wonderful team at Harper Impulse have been nothing but understanding. I also have to thank the fantastic NHS in the shape of the West of England Eye Unit in Exeter for their care.
August is upon us – how did that happen? This year is speeding by. This month sees the publication of the first Little Book Café novella: Tash’s Story. We’re back in Berecombe in Devon for the summer and it’s a heart-warming story full of the loveable and eccentric characters you’ve come to expect. It also has an underlying serious theme so I look forward to hearing what you think.
Speaking of which, the first review is in and it’s a honey. Grace gave the Millie books wonderful support and she loves the new novella too. So much so, her giggling in bed disturbed her husband sleeping beside her! So, if you fancy a rib-tickling read full of sunshine you can pre-order Tash’s Story for your Kindle ready to read on the 17th.
Here’s the review (thank you so much Grace) and the buying linky things. Grace’s blog is well worth reading as it’s chockfull of great summer books:

Enjoy the sunshine!
