Time for my traditional round up of the year. Get those sprouts on, light the wood burner and pour yourself a sherry.
The main highlight has been having three books published. Magpie had been time-tabled for some time, New Beginnings at the Little Christmas Inn was squeezed in at the last minute and I was very grateful to have finally placed The Sea Glass Necklace.
I seem to have spent most of the year reading my own books as there’s been a lot of editing going on but have enjoyed these:
I found time for a couple of holidays. Portugal in May and Corfu in September. Both relaxing weeks.
And I managed to meet up with some writing pals at a Romantic Novelists’ Association event.
I also did an author talk at my local library which I loved and hope to do more. Think I miss my teaching days more than I thought!
Not a lot of TV has captured me but Sally Wainwright can do no wrong and I adored Riot Women. And I was glued to Celebrity Traitors – it was addictive! I’ve been more into podcasts this year. Have loved Betwixt the Sheets, Uncanny, Mark Steel’s in Town, History Hit, After Dark and Weird in the Wade. I’ve also loved The Archers Podcast – I’m a big Archers fan and have been for years. I like the odd panel show too. Just a Minute and I’m Sorry, I Haven’t a Clue can get me giggling.
I hope you’ve all had a good year. Thank you for supporting my books in 2025. Hopefully, there will be more in 2026! A very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Love,
Georgia x
