On Friday I did my ‘Country Mouse Act’ (again!) and ventured to London Town. This time it was in honour of Harper Impulse’s First Birthday Bash. I travelled with Wendy Jones, fellow Harper author and Herefordian. We got to know one another quite well during the day! Pictured are some of the lovely Harper writers and editors.
As always, it was exciting to meet up with fellow Harper Impulse writers, be in the amazing Harper Collins headquarters and feel like a Real Writer! We were treated to fizz and cupcakes and a couple of really useful workshops.
I love London. It’s an amazingly vibrant city. Being back there makes me nostalgic for the ’80s – and my youth. However, getting off the train at Hereford and gulping in that clean, fresh air, made me glad I’ve ended up living where I do. Funnily enough, it’s a theme I’m exploring in the work in progress.
Happy Birthday Harper Impulse. One Year Old!
Many thanks to all those who made Friday possible – and to Wendy, who made the nine hours of travelling much more fun!
Love,

Fab exciting day, if a little long. Thanks Georgia.
